The Philadelphia Eagles have signed head coach Nick Sirianni to a multi-year extension.

Sirianni led the Eagles to victory in Super Bowl 59 last season, Philadelphia avenging a Super Bowl 57 loss to the Kansas City Chiefs two seasons prior with a 40-22 blowout of the same opponent.

Having took over in 2021, Sirianni has guided the Eagles to four successive postseason appearances. He is the first head coach in NFL history to earn four playoff berths, two conference championships and a Super Bowl title in his first four seasons.

Sirianni has compiled a 48-20 regular-season record across his first four years, going 54-23 including the postseason. That gives him the second-most wins in NFL history for a coach in his first four seasons behind George Seifert, who won 52 regular-season games (57 including postseason) in his first four seasons with the San Francisco 49ers.

Eagles chairman and CEO Jeffrey Lurie said: “As an organization, we have always strived to create a championship culture of sustained success.

“Nothing is more important to fostering such an environment than having tremendous leadership.

“Nick has embodied everything we were looking for in a head coach since we hired him four years ago. His authentic style of leadership, football intelligence, passion for the game, and growth mindset have helped to bring out the best in our team.

“I am excited for what the future holds for the Philadelphia Eagles.”

The Eagles will start their quest to successfully defend the Lombardi Trophy when they host the Dallas Cowboys in the 2025 season opener on September 4.
