The Pittsburgh Steelers made official their move for Aaron Rodgers on Saturday.
The veteran quarterback has signed a one-year deal with the Steelers, with ESPN reporting it is worth $10million guaranteed rising to $19.5m including incentives.
Rodgers passed a physical at the team facility this morning and confirmation he had penned the contract arrived shortly afterwards with Pittsburgh putting a post on X that ready simply: “Done deal.”

The 41-year-old will wear the number eight shirt and is expected to take part in the team’s minicamp which begins Tuesday.
After spending the first 18 seasons of his career with the Green Bay Packers, Rodgers was traded to the New York Jets, where he played the last two years.
In 17 starts with the Jets last season, Rodgers threw for 3,897 yards, 28 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Gang Green finished the campaign with a 5-12 record under Rodgers’ leadership.
Rodgers signing has been a long time coming
The four-time MVP signing with the Steelers ends a long courtship that threatened to overshadow their summer.
Pittsburgh have not had a losing season in 21 years, 18 of which have come under the stewardship of head coach Mike Tomlin. They are regulars in the playoffs but have a habit of choking early and have not reached the Super Bowl since 2010.
It is hoped the signings of Rodgers and former Seattle wide receiver DK Metcalf will give Tomlin’s team a significant upgrade on the 2024 version.
