Yann M’Vila staying put in Russia
Sunderland fan favourite Yann M’Vila clearly wanted to secure a permanent move to the Premier League yesterday but the Black Cats apparently weren’t quite so interested.
The 26-year-old defensive midfielder impressed on loan at Sunderland last season and was expected to be made a permanent signing this summer.
With just months left to run on his current deal at Rubin Kazan, David Moyes decided not to secure the deadline day signing of Yann M’Vila.
Yann M’Vila’s heartbreaking post on Instagram
Having joined Rubin Kazan in 2013, the talented Frenchman posted on his Instagram story last night after Sunderland refused to pick up his calls.
“I called Sunderland but they are not picking up the phone. Why? My heart has broken.”
Yann M’Vila’s contract is Russia expires in December and can then be signed as a free agent. Someone should probably watch M’Vila today to make sure he’s ok.
