The title challenge is on: Arsenal fight back to beat Leicester 2-1, Danny Welbeck the hero [Tweets]

In the end, Arsenal pulled it out the bag after a hugely dramatic game against Leicester!

At half-time, Arsenal looked dead and buried in the Premier League title race after Jamie Vardy had fired Leicester ahead on the stroke of half-time.

Vardy won his sixth penalty of the season as he was fouled by Nacho Monreal and Leicester moved eight points ahead of Arsenal at the top of the Premier League at the break.

Leicester were excellent in the first half with N’Golo Kante specifically having an outstanding half in the middle of the park.

The whole complexion of the game changed within ten minutes of the second half as Danny Simpson bagged two yellow cards in five minutes to put Leicester down to 10 men.

Claudio Ranieri’s decision making at this point was somewhat curious as Riyad Mahrez was taken off despite an outstanding season.

Substitute Theo Walcott equalised with 20 minutes to go, from an Olivier Giroud knockdown to send The Emirates faithful into raptures.

Arsenal continued to pile on the pressure with Per Mertesacker missing a great chance late on.

At the death, Danny Welbeck marked his comeback from 10 months on the sidelines with a dramatic late winner.
