Bad for Real Madrid: Man United’s Robert Lewandowski ‘approach’ confirmed

Man United & Robert Lewandowski

According to German magazine Kicker, Manchester United have made a move to sign Bayern Munich striker Robert Lewandowski.

The update has been reported by Mark Lovell, who is ESPN’s Bayern Munich correspondent.

It’s been confirmed that United have made an “approach” for the 29-year-old Polish striker. although the details of this approach are kept under wraps.

What about Real Madrid?

For several seasons Lewandowski has been rumoured to be a target for Real Madrid.

However the latest Kicker update reveals that Los Blancos are “dithering” over the Bayern centre-forward.

Lewandowski & Bayern Munich

For the record, Lewandowski is under contract at Bayern Munich until 2021.

But the forward’s future at the Allianz Arena has come into question in recent weeks following a major change.

After 10 years of working with Polish agent Cezary Kucharski, Lewandowski has ended that relationship.

Instead Lewandowski has joined forces with Israeli super-agent Pini Zahavi.

Why would he join forces with Pini Zahavi if he wasn’t angling for a move to one of Europe’s top clubs?

Lewandowski: 100 Bundesliga goals for Bayern

Bayern Munich beat Hamburg 6-0 in the Bundesliga on Saturday.

Lewandowski was the headline maker for the Bavarians as he scored a hat-trick in the victory.

Those three goals took Lewandowski up to 100 Bundesliga goals for Bayern: the Pole is now Bayern’s all-time leading foreign goalscorer in all competitions.

Lewandowski should be back in action for Bayern this midweek in the Champions League.

5-nil up from their first leg against Bestikas, Bayern seem certain to advance into the UCL quarterfinals this week.
