Neymar expresses desire to play with Juventus’ Cristiano Ronaldo

Neymar signs PSG contract till 2025

Neymar of course departed Barcelona for PSG in the summer of 2017, after the French powerhouse smashed the world transfer record in a €222m deal.

His years since departing the Camp Nou, though, have been filled with speculation.

Outlets in Spain have continued to link the Brazilian with a return to Barcelona:

Neymar also stated at the back end of 2020 that he is keen to play with Lionel Messi again in the near future:

“I want to play with Messi again. It’s what I want the most. I want to enjoy being on the pitch with him again. For sure next year we have to do it.”

In the end, though, after months of speculation, Neymar has now pledged his future to the French champions.

It was announced earlier this month that the Brazilian had committed his future to the Parisians until 2025:

Neymar wants to play with Cristiano Ronaldo

Now, after committing his future to PSG, it appears Neymar is aiming to get another big name to join him in the French capital.

When speaking recently, Neymar stated that he wishes to play with Cristiano Ronaldo:

“I want to play with Cristiano Ronaldo. I’ve already played with great players like Messi and [Kylian] Mbappe, but I haven’t played with Cristiano Ronaldo yet.”

Ronaldo has another year left on his current Juventus contract. But with the Bianconeri currently on course to miss out on Champions League football next season, perhaps Ronaldo would be open to a move?

It was also speculated after the Italian’s Champions League exit vs Porto that Ronaldo could be sold in the summer, with former Juventus president Giovanni Cobolli insisting that it was a mistake for his old club to buy Ronaldo:

“Cristiano Ronaldo was a wrong purchase? Absolutely yes.

“I said it from day one, showing appreciation for a great champion that he is, but he is too expensive and too conditioning.

“It’s Juventus’ business to sell Ronaldo or not, but he’s worth a million per goal.”
