Magpies willing to pay big for Willock

Joe Willock is still very much a wanted man on the part of Newcastle and Steve Bruce.

His goals whilst on loan last season meant that the midfielder became an integral part of the team who easily survived the drop in the end.

However, Arsenal have doubts about the prospect of losing another player after a 6-month renaissance.

Having sold Emi Martinez to Aston Villa, before seeing him become one of the league’s best, it makes sense that they are hesitating over Willock.

However, the Magpies are willing to pay a big fee to get him, amid suggestions that a 25 million pound deal has been agreed.

Ramsey wages too great

Newcastle have also been linked to another player with Arsenal history, in Aaron Ramsey.

Since leaving the Gunners in 2019 for Juventus, it hasn’t worked out brilliantly in Turin.

Injury and rotation have stunted opportunities for the Welsh international, and the Italian side are open to a sale.

Newcastle, though, are likely to be put off by Ramsey’s massive wages, secured upon signing for Juve on a free transfer.

This hasn’t stopped Romeo Agresti, Bianconeri correspondent for Goal, suggesting that the Magpies are indeed interested in the player.

Tuanzebe set for Villa

However, one target who does not look likely to join Newcastle is Axel Tuanzebe.

The Manchester United defender is more likely to join Aston Villa this summer.

Villa are in the midst of a major recruitment drive, ahead of the impending departure of Jack Grealish.

Emi Buendia, Leon Bailey and Danny Ings have so far arrived, with a potential 100 million pound windfall to follow.

Newcastle would therefore struggle to compete financially, likely to bring an end to the club’s Tuanzebe pursuit.
