Messi says goodbye to Barca
An extremely emotional day for Lionel Messi took place at the Camp Nou.
The Argentinian forward said goodbye to his childhood club, at which he has spent the entirety of his senior career.
The club were unable to register Lionel Messi for the upcoming La Liga season due to restrictions placed upon them and other Spanish teams by the league’s rule-makers.
Messi was presented in front of a crowd of now former teammates, coaches and executives including president Joan Laporta.
He was unable to hold back the tears and broke down on multiple occasions, clearly extremely saddened by the unfolding events.
