Man United prepared to sell Anthony Martial to Chelsea on one condition

Anthony Martial to the Bridge?

Anthony Martial has been seen as the ‘Next Thierry Henry’ since arriving in England in 2015.

The young Frenchman began his career in English football with a fantastic goal against Liverpool and the future looked extremely bright.

Martial won the FA Cup in his first season at Old Trafford, scoring the decisive goal in the semi final against Everton.

However, when Jose Mourinho arrived at the club, things started to change.

Martial played just 25 matches in the league last season despite only being injured for one.

Martial may have to leave Manchester United if he wants to keep on improving and scoring.

Chelsea are a club who are very interested in his signature.

Mad Mourinho?

Mourinho has a history of not getting on with his top young talent.

The Portuguese manager infamously got rid of the likes of Romelu Lukaku, Kevin De Bruyne and Mohamed Salah whilst at Chelsea, all of whom are brilliant players now.

Martial could be Mourinho’s next big regret.

According the Independent, Mourinho is tired of Martial’s lack of development and ability to understand his tactics.

Mourinho is keen on signing Willian, a player who he brought to Stamford Bridge in 2013 and he is happy for Martial to be used as a bargaining chip.

Ed Woodward, Man United’s vice-chairman will completely back any decision Mourinho has to make and he is happy to help sort out the Willian & Martial deal.

United would insist on Chelsea giving them Willian plus cash if they want to sign Martial which is unlikely to fend off interest from the Blues as Roman Abramovich has never shied away from a big transfer deal.

After Mourinho’s offensive comments made about Martial last week, the Frenchman will surely be keen to leave the club as soon as possible.
