The Premier League have confirmed their nominees for their Player of the Month and Manager of the Month awards for August. Check out the full list of nominees at the bottom of the page.
The Red Devils ended August as the only Premier League side to win all three of their matches.
Man United score 10 goals without conceding, beating West Ham 4-0, Leicester 4-0 and Swansea 2-0.
Phil Jones has been at the heart of United’s defence, helping to keep three clean sheets.
Some will argue that Paul Pogba’s form should warrant a nomination, but it’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan who represents their midfield.
The Armenian has five assists already. Romelu Lukaku earns his nomination having scored three goals in United’s first to matches. He did, however, blank in their most recent match and missed a penalty.
With the most points, the most goals scored and the least goals conceded, manager Jose Mourinho has surely got to be one of the favourites.
After a blip in their opening match, Liverpool seem to have hit their stide.
The attacking trio of Sadio Mane, Mohamed Salah and Roberto Firmino look absolutely menacing, although the latter misses out on a nomination
Last weekend the Reds churned out what is arguably the performance of the season so far, hammering Arsenal 4-0.
Liverpool finish the month in second, with eight goals scored and two clean sheets, earning Jurgen Klopp his nomination.
Alvaro Morata is Chelsea’s lone representative in the nominations.
The Champions lost their opening match 3-2 against Burnley, but followed that up with wins against Spurs and Everton.
Chelsea’s summer signing from Real Madrid looks to have gelled well, scoring 2 and assisting 2 in his first three games.
Huddersfield have made an incredible start to their first ever Premier League season.
With two wins and a draw, manager David Wagner is well worth his nomination. Fixtures against Palace, Newcastle and Southampton may have been slightly generous, but take nothing away from Town’s performances.
Goalkeeper Jonas Lossl has been immense, keeping clean sheets in all of Huddersfield’s opening matches. The Dane, brought in from Mainz in the summer, has also made 11 saves.
Manager Pep Guardiola is the sole City nominee, although he’s probably the least likely of the lot to win.
City have two wins and a draw from their opening three games, but that doesn’t tell the whole story.
Pep’s side only managed a clean sheet against newly-promoted Brighton and needed a very late goal to claim three points at Bournemouth. A 1-1 draw with Everton was sandwiched in between those to matches.
Baggies boss Tony Pulis is the final nominee, also with two wins and a draw.
His side kept two clean sheets in 1-0 victories over Burnley and Bournemouth, before a 1-1 draw against his former side Stoke.
