Manchester City’s brilliant first half vs Man United
The Manchester derby produced a match for the ages on Saturday evening and pretty much everyone was forced to eat their words in record quick time.
The first half was a cake walk for Manchester City, who looked to have recovered from their 3-0 defeat at Liverpool in some style.
Not only that but they would seal the Premier League title with a win at home to their great rivals.
So, goals from Vincent Kompany and Ilkay Gundogan had seemingly put Manchester City in an impregnable position.
Manchester United’s incredible comeback at Manchester City
The first half collapse from Manchester United saw plenty of social media posts taking aim at Jose Mourinho’s side.
Paul Pogba was one player who came under fire for a poor display. This was magnified by the comments from Pep Guardiola on Mino Raiola in the build-up to the game.
The likes of Alexis Sanchez and Chris Smalling were also savaged by social media users as well.
Then came the comeback no one saw coming.
Paul Pogba scored on 53 and 55 to completely puncture the Manchester City party.
On 69, Chris Smalling headed home an Alexis Sanchez cross for 3-2 Manchester United!
Cue the deleted Tweets!
With such a brilliant turnaround, those with big and small followings on social media began to delete their Tweets about Pogba and Manchester United.
James Ducker of the Daily Telegraph was one such journalist to do so and it was noticed…
This is the James Ducker Paul Pogba Tweet that was deleted:
And, Manchester United fans are not happy!
Here is one of them, which does not contain a swear word.
@TelegraphDucker Have some pride and stand behind your opinions. I would respect you way more if you hadn't deleted your Pogba tweet. Now, not only have you had a daft opinion, but you're also spineless. Own it.

Ducker did Tweet later on in the half and the replies are savage…
Extraordinary couple of minutes from United, complete turnaround both from United and Pogba who, hitherto dire, suddenly decides to start playing and scores two quality goals. Both goals very well fashioned and finished. Those Sterling misses looking costly now #MCFC #MUFC
