Leaked United kit

Ahead of the 21/22 season Manchester United’s new away shirt has been seemingly leaked to the Red Devils faithful.

Pure shock was seen across social media as people responded and reacted to the images being shared around the platforms.

United, known for their red aesthetic, have once again seen a very ‘out there’ design used for their new kit.

The shirt is, on the surface, a white colour similar to that of the zebra kit from this season. However, instead of a black pattern, Adidas have taken inspiration from United 91-93 away shirt design and applied geometric blue patterns which have differing shades of the blue fading away from the main outline.

Adidas’ white and black striped kit from this season showed the designers were not afraid to try something which would stand out and this is certainly the case with the new kit.

The reaction

The reactions to the shirt have been so far very positive with a number of commenters on both Twitter and Instagram speaking highly of the apparel.

One commenter on Instagram replied, “Oh yes. Been waiting on this comeback for years.” Referencing the famous 91-93 strip. However, there is seemingly no pleasing everyone as another wrote, ‘No no no, horrible,’ whilst another simply said, ‘not good.’

Whilst the initial reactions seems, on the whole, positive, United will hope a strong finish to the season in the league and Europe and can help drive up sales for the new campaign.
