Liverpool’s Naby Keita trains alone in Guinea

Liverpool & Naby Keita

Liverpool fans may be alarmed by the latest news concerning Naby Keita.

Keita recently suffered a back injury in Liverpool’s Champions League loss away Napoli.

The Guinean international was taken to hospital in Italy after that scare. However Keita was given the all-clear following a scan.

Last weekend in the Premier League against Chelsea, Keita was left on the bench at kick-off.

Yet, when James Milner suffered a hamstring injury early on in the game, Keita came off the bench to play 75 minutes against the Blues.

Keita is now back in Guinea during the international break.

Guinea take on Rwanda on Friday in a 2019 African Cup of Nations qualifier.

Will the Liverpool star be involved in that match?

Fears have been raised that Keita may miss that game after reports confirmed he’s been training alone this week.

To be clear, while rumours are flying about that Keita may be carrying a knock, that’s yet to be confirmed.

However, if it does transpire that Keita is nursing an injury, Liverpool fans may wonder why the midfielder was allowed to leave Anfield during the break.

Adam Lallana injury update

Liverpool have received positive injury news regarding Adam Lallana this week.

When the international break ends, Liverpool will return to Premier League action with an away trip to Huddersfield.

The Times have reported that Lallana is poised to make his Liverpool return in that game. Readers are told:

Lallana is now ready to lend his services to Klopp, whose side face Huddersfield, Red Star Belgrade and Cardiff City in the space of seven days.
