‘Jamie Carragher spat at a 14-year-old Man United fan’
The front pages of the Sun and the Mirror on Monday deliver bad headlines to former Liverpool defender Jamie Carragher.
Carragher, who is nowadays a leading pundit on Sky Sports, was filmed spitting at a car after Saturday’s Man United win over Liverpool.
So what happened?
The video recording shows how Carragher was engaged by a Man United fan and his daughter on the road.
The dad was heard shouting “Hiya Jamie, it was 2-1”. After a few rounds of banter, Carragher reacted badly by spitting back.
In footage of the incident shot by the girl’s dad, the daughter can be heard saying: “He spat on me.”
The dad asked: “Where did it hit you?”
She replied: “On my face.”
