Liverpool & Arsenal fight over free agent Bernard

Shakhtar Donetsk & Bernard

According to an update from Andersinho Marques, a journalist for Mediaset, Brazilian midfielder Bernard could be heading to the Premier League.

Bernard is a left-footed midfielder who is under contract with Shakhtar Donetsk until June 30, 2018.

Bernard has been with Shakhtar since 2013, while last season he scored 10 goals and chipped in with four assists in 29 matches.

While it seems clear that Shakhtar would be keen on agreeing a new deal with Bernard, the player wants to move on.

Liverpool vs Arsenal

Andersinho Marques has announced that Bernard is a target for both Liverpool and Arsenal.

The Premier League rivals are also facing interest in Bernard from China.

The assumption is that Bernard, who will soon be a free agent, will have to choose between a better financial package in China or the attractiveness of playing for either Arsenal or Liverpool in the Premier League.

Fred & Manchester United

There appears to be a lot of change on the cards for Shakhtar Donetsk this off-season.

If the rumour mill is accurate, Fred will also be leaving the Ukrainian outfit imminently.

Fred has been tipped to leave Shakhtar for Manchester United this summer.

Man United are believed to be on the verge of announcing Fred’s signing. The Brazilian will command a transfer fee of around £52.5 million after add-ons.

There’s also plenty of speculation surrounding Shakhtar boss Paulo Fonseca.

Fonseca was one of the names linked to Everton in recent times. However the Toffees have this week announced that Marco Silva is their new manager.
