Harry Maguire’s Man United move
The Times on Wednesday morning believe that Leicester City defender Harry Maguire may be on his way to Man United.
Maguire starred for England at the World Cup at centre-half. While it’s been clear all summer that Jose Mourinho is keen on signing a new defender at Old Trafford.
The Times have reported the following:
Leicester expect United to make a late bid for Maguire and they value the England defender at £65 million.
Maguire appears to have emerged as United’s best option as José Mourinho desperately tries to bolster his squad before the transfer window closes tomorrow.
What about Bayern Munich’s Jerome Boateng?
That deal seems to have disappeared.
According to reports from Bild, Jerome Boateng has told Man United that he doesn’t want to move to Old Trafford.
The expectation is that Boateng will remain at Bayern Munich this season.

Leicester line up two defenders
Leicester City are preparing for Maguire’s exit by lining up deals for two defenders. The Times announced:
They have prepared for the possibility of his departure by agreeing deals to sign Caglar Soyuncu, from Freiburg, and Filip Benkovic, of Dynamo Zagreb, for a combined £33.5 million but Claude Puel will still bring in both players even if Maguire remains at the club.
Caglar Soyuncu has previously been linked to Arsenal in the transfer window.
Soyuncu is a 22-year-old Turkish international. Soyuncu can either play at right-back or centre-half.
Soyuncu is under contract with Frieburg until 2021, while last season he made 30 appearances for his club in all competitions.
Benkovic, a 21-year-old central defender, came up through the youth ranks of Dinamo, before breaking into the club’s first-team setup as a prodigiously-talented teen in 2015.
