Jose Mourinho is keen on bringing Marouane Fellaini to Tottenham

Mourinho wants Fellaini

Marouane Fellaini became a cult hero in the Premier League at Everton and then Manchester United.

The tall Belgian was an unmistakable figure, and often used to win matches late on thanks to his height, physicality and heading ability.

Since leaving United, Fellaini has been in China with Shandong Luneng. However, with his deal expiring at the end of the year, links with a possible return to the Premier League have begun to circulate.

Reuniting with Man United is not on the agenda, but instead a reunion with a former colleague.

Fellaini spent time playing under Jose Mourinho in the northwest, and could yet return to join the Portuguese coach at Spurs.

Reportedly, the 33-year-old would be open to a return to England, and Mourinho’s Spurs in particular.

Bale, Mourinho problems

On loan from Real Madrid this season, Gareth Bale has not been able to put together a consistent stretch of good form.

One of the reasons behind this has been his tenuous relationship with Jose Mourinho.

Clips have even spread on social media of the pair in what appear to be disagreements in training.

“You want to stay here or go to Madrid and play no football?” could be heard on Mourinho’s part.

Former Spurs defender Graham Roberts has said that he feels Bale doesn’t want to play for Mourinho.

“If Gareth Bale played the next nine games, I think we would see Gareth Bale at his best. But I’m not sure that Gareth Bale wants to play for this manager. I’m not sure a few of them want to play for this manager, but the manager is in charge, so he makes the decisions,” he said.

Tottenham’s supporters will hope that when Bale does play, he can provide the much needed quality to help push towards a top-4 finish.
