Jack Grealish to undergo medical tomorrow ahead of record move

The 100 million pound man

Jack Grealish’s future has finally been resolved, with the Aston Villa star agreeing a record-move to Manchester City. The deal has been given the legendary “here we go” status by transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, normally meaning that the deal is done.

According to Romano, Grealish has put pen to paper on a contract that will see him remain a Manchester City player until 2026, with the deal already having been signed off by both clubs. The 100 million pound fee will make Grealish the most expensive Englishman in history, but that may be a title he only holds briefly if Harry Kane joins him at the Etihad this summer.

Grealish is set to undergo his medical tomorrow (Thursday) morning ahead of completing the deal and officially joining the Premier League Champions, who will be odds on favourites to retain their title.

Aston Villa begin reinvestment

Meanwhile, Aston Villa have already begun reinvesting the record fee that they are set to receive from the Manchester club, announcing the signing of Danny Ings from Southampton for 30 million pound earlier today.

Ings joins Emi Buendia and Leon Bailey as new signings in through the door at Villa park, and it is unclear as to whether Villa have completed their summer business yet as they target European football.

Despite the sale of Grealish, therefore, Villa seem well-stocked in the attacking departments, and have received a astronomical fee for their star man.

Can they kick on this season?
