For once, Tottenham did not hit Stoke for four, but they did record a significant victory at both ends of the table.

Christian Eriksen was the star of the show, scoring twice for Spurs – or did he?

Stoke equalised quickly, Mame Biram Diouf equalising on 57 minutes after charging down a Hugo Lloris clearance.

Either way, Spurs won the game and increased their chances of Champions League qualification, pulling away from London rivals Chelsea and Arsenal even further.

Harry Kane makes a push for the goal…

Following the 2-1 win, Harry Kane has hit social media trying to claim the goal.

This is despite the fact the Premier League have already awarded it to Christian Eriksen.

Kane has Tweeted Gary Lineker, the presenter of Match of the Day, and also posted a video on the Tottenham social channels with him calling to be awarded the second Spurs goal at Stoke.

Harry Kane vs Mohamed Salah

Of course, Kane is keen to be awarded the goal as he is in a two-horse race with Mohamed Salah for the Golden Boot award in the Premier League.

As it stands, Mohamed Salah (who did not play for Liverpool at Everton today) has 29 goals.

Kane, who has won it in successive seasons is on 24 goals.

The Tottenham man has a game in hand on Salah with both sides now very likely to finish in the top four.
