Ruben Loftus-Cheek ‘leaves’ Crystal Palace
The Guardian have confirmed on Tuesday that Ruben Loftus-Cheek, who has been loaned out to Crystal Palace for the season, is now back at Chelsea.
RLC has been out of action for weeks with an injury.
Palace have been unable to help the midfielder in his recovery, so they Eagles have sent Loftus-Cheek back to Chelsea for treatment.
In a blow to Roy Hodgson, the Guardian have reported:
Ruben Loftus-Cheek has returned to Chelsea for treatment on the ankle injury sustained in late December, with Crystal Palace unsure as to when the England midfielder will be able to resume his loan spell across the capital.
According to Hodgson, Chelsea made sure that RLC was sent back to Cobham. The Palace boss told the Guardian:
Chelsea insist on having him back there on this period of rehabilitation, so we won’t really know until such time that they release him back to us.
There’s another 10-14 days to go before I can tell you anything about Ruben Loftus-Cheek at all. I haven’t seen him literally for 10 days.
That’s a huge blow for the Eagles on the eve of the close of the January transfer window.
Preston’s Jordan Hugill
Reports have sprung up on Tuesday that Crystal Palace could buy Preston North End striker Jordan Hugill.
The 25-year-old has scored 10 goals in 29 games for Preston.
According to the likes of the BBC, Hugill could cost the Eagles 10 million pounds.
But is the rumour true? There are counter reports that suggest Hugill is staying at Preston.

Another player linked with a move to Selhurst Park is Lille midfielder Ibrahim Amadou.
That deal also seems less-than-certain to go through.
