During their coverage of the Copa America semi-final between Chile and Peru on Monday, it was confirmed on Colombian TV that Radamel Falcao has signed his Chelsea contract.
Falcao’s move to Chelsea has been reported for a few weeks now as Jose Mourinho looks to resurrect the career of “El Tigre”.
On Colombian TV show Gol Caracol, journalist Javier Hernández Bonett confirmed that Falcao had signed his Chelsea contract on Monday.
Bonett also added that Falcao will be presented as a Chelsea player on July 19 or 20 in Canada, where Chelsea will be training.
The Blues face New York Red Bulls on July 23, 2015 in their first pre-season match of the summer.
Falcao was a major disappointment for Manchester United last season, on loan from Monaco.
The French side are expected to receive up to three young players as part of the loan deal for this coming season.
The majority of Chelsea supporters have questioned the move for Falcao, particularly after some woeful Copa America performances by the former Porto and Atletico Madrid striker.
