Calls for Man United’s Fred to be banned after Leicester

Man United 2 – Leicester City 1

After their disappointing pre-season schedule, Man United started the new Premier League campaign on the front foot on Friday night.

Jose Mourinho’s men picked up maximum points with a 2-1 win over Leicester.

Paul Pogba fired Man United 1-0 up from the penalty spot in the second minute of the match.

Luke Shaw scored his first ever Man United goal in the final stages to double the Red Devils lead.

Jamie Vardy continued his amazing goal scoring achievements against the biggest clubs in England by heading home a consolation for Leicester.

Should Fred be banned?

Brazilian international midfielder Fred received his Premier League debut against Leicester.

Man United signed Fred for £52m from Shakhtar Donetsk. The South American agreed a five-year contract with Man United.

Fred gave a decent performance in his first Old Trafford outing.

However Fred was also involved in one darker moment of the match.

After losing possession to Leicester’s Demarai Gray, Fred seemed to hack the Foxes winger down with a tackle from behind.

Many fans believed Fred kicked out at his opponent.

As the matter was missed by the officials at the time should Fred be slapped with a retrospective ban?
