Burnley identify Wolfsburg striker as Chris Wood replacement and the latest on Mislav Orsic

Two weeks after seeing Chris Wood depart to Newcastle, it appears that Burnley have identified their replacement.
Wood left after his release clause was met by the Tyneside club, who stumped up 25 million pounds to take him away from their relegation rivals.

However, it seems as though this money will be reinvested in key areas by Burnley and Sean Dyche, with an agreement close for the transfer of Mislav Orsic, a player whom Tottenham fans will still have nightmares about.

The Croatian forward scored a hat-trick against the Lilywhites last season to send them crashing out of the Europa League in shock fashion.
And now, Burnley seem to have identified their next target, too.
Wolfsburg’s Weghorst watched
This player comes in the form of Wolfsburg forward Wout Weghorst, who has long been touted with a move away from Germany.
The Netherlands striker, who stands at 6 feet 5 inches tall, is having a slow season by his usual standards, with just six goals and one assist to his name in 18 appearances thus far.
However, the striker has netted over 15 goals in all of his previous three seasons in the German top-flight, while he has scored more than 10 in his last 6 campaigns at the top level.

And, having just 18 months left on his current contract, the 29-year-old could be available on the cheap. He would certainly be an acceptable replacement for Chris Wood, should Weghorst hit the ground running.
