Aguero’s stance on Messi departure
In an emotional press conference, Lionel Messi said goodbye to Barcelona and the opportunity to play alongside Argentina teammate and close friend, Sergio Aguero.
The former Manchester City striker joined the Blaugrana this summer in the hope that he would be playing alongside Messi.
The pair won the Copa America together this summer but would not reunite in the Catalans’ famous shirt.
After some speculation of Aguero’s feelings as to the situation, speaking to the media from his car, he said, “Don’t worry, you have me all year long.”
