Malcom Filipe S. De Oliveira

Arsenal vs Spurs: Malcom has made his choice

Is Malcom coming to the Premier League?

One of the most talked about players in the current transfer window is Bordeaux winger Malcom.

A sensation in Ligue 1, Malcom is so confident of joining a big Premier League side that he has confirmed English lessons on Instagram Stories.

A huge talent coming in off the left wing, Malcom is improving at a rapid pace in France and could even be a late call up to the Brazil World Cup squad.

In the meantime, Malcom is being linked with three Premier League sides: Manchester United, Arsenal and Tottenham.

Arsenal or Tottenham for Malcom?

The first club to be linked with Malcom was Tottenham, this was before the transfer window opened, in December.

Spurs are understood to have held talks with Bordeaux to sign Malcom but Mauricio Pochettino’s side are still some way off of agreeing a fee for the Brazilian.

Manchester United have also been linked with Malcom. Jose Mourinho is keen to bring in a wide player. But, the link with the Old Trafford side have dried up in recent days.

It seems like Manchester United want a more experienced striker such as Alexis Sanchez, Jamie Vardy or Chicharito Hernandez.

The most likely English destination for Malcom is Arsenal and the Gunners have received a boost in their move for the Brazilian starlet.

“Malcom wants to play under Arsene Wenger”

Malcom is seen as the most likely direct replacement for Alexis Sanchez.

The Chilean could well leave this transfer window and Arsenal have held talks with Bordeaux over signing Malcom this week.

On Thursday night, Malcom inched closer to joining Arsenal by confirming he would rather play at The Emirates.

Malcom to replace Alexis Sanchez?

Malcom is keen to ply his trade under Arsene Wenger, according to UOL Esporte.

Considering the pressure Arsene Wenger is under and the esteem many Arsenal fans hold him in these days, Malcom’s decision could well turn a few heads.

As it stands, if Alexis Sanchez does leave Arsenal, Malcom is looking like the ready made replacement.

And, there might be very little Tottenham can do about it…
