Conte wants Brozovic reunion

Antonio Conte could be set to recruit one of his former trusted lieutenants to the new Tottenham project in north London, with the Italian manager rumored to be interested in Inter Milan’s Marcelo Brozović.

The Croatian international is in the final year of his contract at the San Siro, and TuttoMercatoWeb has claimed that Conte would be keen to reunite with Brozović in the Premier League once his deal runs out in the summer.

Inter have thus far failed to bring Brozović to the table in terms of signing an extension with the Scudetto holders, with their latest offer of €4.5 million/year being rejected by the Zagreb-native, who is said to be seeking €30 million over four years, amounting to €7.5 million in annual wages.

Tottenham would hardly be the only club keen on securing the services of the 28-year-old, with Bayern Munich adding themselves to a list that already contains Spurs as well as Paris Saint-Germain, should the Croatian stalwart part ways with I Nerazzurri.

Tottenham expected to farm Serie A under new leadership

It should come as no surprise that Antonio Conte is targeting Marcelo Brozović, with Tottenham expected to look at Serie A like a trip to IKEA as they aim to rebuild the first-team under the Italian.

Together with director of football Fabio Paratici, Spurs have also noted interest in Milan’s Franck Kessié as well as Fiorentina starlet Dusan Vlahović.

With Spurs having started the Conte regime with a 3-2 win against Vitesse Arnhem yesterday – in a match where they nearly blew a 3-0 lead – it is clear why the Italian will want to bring in trusted names, and improve the squad as soon as possible.
