Sam Allardyce

‘Sam Allardyce laughed at Everton fans’ after Burnley

Burnley 2 – Everton 1

Burnley finally remembered what that winning feeling tastes like on Saturday.

Burnley beat Everton, who continue to disappoint under manager Sam Allardyce.

The Toffees have lost three of their last four matches, their season is petering out, and their fans are beginning to rage.

Everton took the lead at Turf Moor through Turkish striker Cenk Tosun, who was a surprise starter against the Clarets.

But Burnley turned the scoreline after a break. A brilliant pass from Matt Lowton freed Ashley Barnes to slot home the leveller.

Halftime sub Chris Wood powered home a match winning header with 10 minutes to go.

The match ended on a low note for Everton as Ashley Williams was sent off for throwing an elbow at Barnes.

‘Sam Allardyce laughed at Everton fans’

Many Everton fans want Allardyce to leave their club as soon as possible.

Big Sam was hired to keep the club in the Premier League, but even before he took the reigns Everton were back on the right track.

Allardyce has been unable to steer Everton significantly up the table, while many supporters are unhappy with the performances under Big Sam.

For the record, Allardyce was given an 18-month contract when he replaced Ronald Koeman earlier this season.

Yet there are rumours that the Everton board are considering asking Allardyce to step aside when the season closes.

After the Burnley game, Big Sam wound up Everton fans with his facial expressions in a post match interview.

When asked to react to fans’ frustrations, Allardyce smirked on screen.

Cue the angry backlash.
