Pogba could be set for summer move
Paul Pogba reportedly wants to leave Manchester United this summer, with the club set to demand £83 million for his signature.
Pogba has been somewhat underwhelming for Manchester United recently.
The Frenchman has struggled with injury, but when he has played this season, he’s not exactly been a stand-out performer.
As a result, questions are now being raised over his future.
Pogba was heavily linked with a move away from Manchester United in the summer window.
Now, both clubs will be keeping a keen eye on developments, amid reports that Pogba wants out of Old Trafford.
Real Madrid & Juventus keen, but put off by valuation
According to the Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano, Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United.
He claims: ‘Paul Pogba wants to leave Manchester United in the summer but his chances of securing a swift exit are likely to be hampered by the club setting an asking price of around €100m (£83m).’
Despite signing for Manchester United for a similar fee, that valuation comes as a slight surprise, considering his performances with France in the 2018 World Cup.
As expected, Juventus and Real Madrid are both named as potential suitors, but, according to Romano, ‘both clubs consider such a fee too high for a player who has been largely underwhelming at United since he rejoined in 2016.’
Romano also claims that Mino Raiola will look to convince Man United to lower their demands.
Whether that proves successful or not, we’ll have to wait and see.
