Vote: Top 10 Goals of the Week

After a rip-roaring start to the season the international schedule has put the breaks on the early season avalanche of football, yet the golazos cannot be stifled that easily.

A freak 80-yard goal from the Perviuan Cup starts this week’s top 10 list, followed by a quality volley from a Dutch great and then a beautiful looping half-volley from a budding Real Madrid starlet.

Rivaldo – no, another one – pops up with a cracker at number four, Lionel Messi again makes the cut with a terrific free-kick for Albiceleste, and a world-class header from a Newcastle forward sits at six.

Goal seven deserves it’s own sentence being, quite possibly, the greatest ever goalie goal of all-time.

That leaves three: an end-to-end solo stunner from Serie B, a brilliant backheel golazo from Brazil, and lastly a top corner cracker from Argentina.
