Udinese will be aiming to climb the Serie A table once more when they meet with Lecce at the Dacia Arena as the Udine side hit their worst spell of form in 2022/23 after a sensational start saw them climb into the top four early on.
Udinese‘s sensational start to the Serie A campaign saw them drop points in just two of the first eight games of the season, smashing sides likes Roma and Inter Milan in the process. However, ever since the victory over Inter back before the international break, the club have gone on to win just one game since, creating a five-game winless run.
They did get a point against the title challengers, Atalanta and Lazio, but in losing the Coppa Italia second round clash with Monza 3-2 at home, before a 2-1 loss to Torino in the league, the club have now gone on to drop even more points and plummeted into eighth after drawing with Cremonese.
As for Lecce, they lost once more last time out to extend their winless run to five games too, as they also defeated Salernitana just before the international break. Cremonese would take two points off them shortly after, before Roma beat them 2-1, as they also drew with Fiorentina. Lecce have lost their past two games, as Bologna and Juventus kept a clean sheet against them and eased to victory.
