It’s one of the biggest games of the season for both Salernitana and Monza as the two come into this game with the hopes of continuing to edge away from the relegation zone in what has been a topsy-turvy campaign for the two before the World Cup break.
Salernitana have been involved in a lot of chaos in Serie A this season, which comes just one campaign after finishing just above the relegation zone by one point on the final day. Now, however, they are in 11th and have managed to rack up a commendable 19 goals from 14 games after a 2-1 loss to Fiorentina in Serie A.
Worryingly, however, this defeat to them now means Fiorentina have moved above them in the table and sent Salernitana into the bottom half and in 11th for what was their fifth defeat of the season. However, with four wins of their own and five draws, they have still managed to avoid defeat in most games. With 21 goals let in by this point, though, there is still a lot to be worked on.
As for Monza, they met with Lazio in midweek, but off the back of beating Hellas Verona 2-0 last weekend, the club have still managed to put themselves out of the relegation zone before the pause in the season until January. Considering they failed to win a game in the first seven outfits, they should be pleased with where they are currently sitting.
