Cremonese are still in search of their first win of the Serie A season when they play hosts to a Udinese side still flying high in sixth despite a drop in form over the past month.
The winless Cremonese have hit an all-time low in Serie A with the club registering four draws and seven losses so far this season. It’s the longest stretch of an unbeaten run for a newly-promoted side in the Italian top flight this decade, and it comes after being the victims of a first win for Sampdoria last time out.
The Serie B runners-up of last season were unfortunate not to get a point against Sampdoria in a game where barely any side threatened, as both, in reality, only justified even further why many are tipping them to go down. Both had four shots on target, with Cremenose at least having 21 attempts in the game.
Such a poor return does also prove why they are the second-lowest scorers in Serie A this season with nine goals and, ironically, only Sampdoria have scored fewer. The biggest issue for Cremonese has, however, been the losing run of seven games in 11 outings. They have let in 22 goals now in the league - more than any other side.
Udinese were hoping of a top four this season after such a magical start, but with a 2-2 draw to Atalanta, a goalless game with Lazio, an upset at the hands of Monza in the Coppa Italia and now a loss to Torino to deal with, the club is winless since October 3rd.
