Ross County actually beat Celtic twice last season, winning 2-1 in the League Cup at Parkhead and then 1-0 in Dingwall in the league. This season though, the Hoops have won all three encounters, scoring nine and conceding just once. Overall, Celtic have won 12 of their last 15 games against the Staggies, scoring 3+ in nine of these wins.

Despite last weekend’s derby day disappointment, there’s still plenty for Celtic to play for this season.

Last Sunday, the Hoops faced Rangers at Hampden in the Scottish Cup semi-finals.

Greg Taylor gave his side the lead, admittedly against the run of play, only for Rangers to equalise shortly after before winning it late in extra time.

Carl Starfelt’s unfortunate own goal sealing the deal.

So, the Bhoys wont be celebrating a fifth treble in six seasons, but now need to get over the line in the Scottish Premiership.

Last month, Ange Postecoglou’s side did win an, arguably, more important Old Firm, coming from behind to claim a 2-1 victory at Ibrox.

So, with just the five post-split fixtures to go, Celtic are six points clear of Rangers at the top and with a goal difference that is +19 superior.

Thus, the Hoops need ten points from their final five fixtures to wrap up the title and a place in next season’s Champions League group stages.

Will they leave the Highlands unscathed?

Celtic won’t travel north taking anything for granted because, back in December, they needed a 97th minute Tony Ralston header to snatch a 2-1 win.

In truth, Celts supporters didn’t expect to be returning to the Highlands because Ross County have really upset the odds to get into the top six.

A fortnight ago, Joseph Hungbo’s 86th minute penalty saw the Staggies snatch a dramatic 1-0 victory over Aberdeen at Pittodrie.

This means Malky Mackay’s men have taken 13 points from the last 18 available, so Ross County will finish in the top half of the top-flight for just the second time.

Now, they’re looking to get into Europe for the first time ever with fifth enough to get into Europa Conference League qualifying.

Will Celtic leave Victoria Park with all three points, or can the Staggies throw a spanner into their title aspirations?

Regan Charles-Cook is, without doubt, Ross County’s main goal threat with the Grenada international very much on course to be the Premiership’s top scorer this season.

He, Joseph Hungbo and Jordan White will lead the Staggies attack.

The big question mark is who will start up front for Celtic after Georgios Giakoumakis hobbled off against St Johnstone a fortnight ago.

Kyōgo Furuhashi meanwhile came off the bench 58 minutes into the semi-final but hasn’t started since Boxing Day due to a hamstring injury.

If neither are fit, it’ll be the same front three as last Sunday with Daizen Maeda flanked by Jota and Liel Abada.

Reo Hatate and Tom Rogic could continue in midfield, alongside Callum McGregor, chosen over Matt O’Riley and David Turnbull.

At the back, Tony Ralston will be the right-back for the foreseeable with Josip Juranović out for the rest of the season due to injury.
