The two clubs either side of the Premier League’s crucial dotted line go head-to-head in Lancashire.

Burnley kick off in the relegation zone but are just two points below their visitors.

Thus, a victory for either side would be massive in their respective bids to stay in the Premier League.

At the weekend, the side with the most draws in the division were at it again with Burnley playing out a goalless game against West Ham.

This means Sean Dyche’s side have only lost two of their last ten fixtures but only won one of these, beating Brentford on 30 October.

They do have a game in hand on all of those sides around them, a home match with Spurs, but need wins to climb into a safety positition.

Watford meanwhile should really be making the long journey north with at least a slightly bigger cushion than they are currently enjoying.

On Friday night, the Bees met the Hornets in the insect derby at the Brentford Community Stadium.

It looked like the Hornets would prevail when Emmanuel Bonaventure Dennis’ header opened the scoring mid-way through the first half.

But, Brentford equalised six minutes from time before, in the 94th minute, being awarded a penalty following a kamikaze tackle by William Troost-Ekong.

The subsequent spot-kick was converted and Watford left West London with nothing.

This means Claudio Ranieri’s side have now lost four in a row, winning just two of his nine matches in charge, losing the other seven.

However, a victory in this one would open up a fairly significant gap between themselves and the bottom three.
