Watford FC vs Chelsea FC: Match details
Match: Watford FC vs Chelsea FC
Competition: Premier League
Date: December 1, 2021
Kick-off time: 7:30 pm, December 1, 2021 (UK time)
Stadium: Vicarage Road
Betting prediction: Watford 0-4 Chelsea
Despite some injury concerns at Stamford Bridge, Chelsea should be set to thrash Watford at Vicarage Road despite some decent recent results the Hornets netted against Manchester United and Everton. The best defense in the Premier League should have few issues to deal with as both Emmanuel Dennis and Ismaïla Sarr look set to miss out against the Blues, who, on their day, are capable of beating any side in the world. Chelsea for a comfortable win while they could run up the score if they’re in the mood.
Watford vs Chelsea: Recommended bets
Total Goals/Both Teams to Score: Over 2.5/No (3/1 odds)
Given Chelsea’s capability at both ends of the pitch in conjunction with Watford’s massive injury struggles at the minute, it is hard to see past a comfortable clean sheet win for the Blues on their travels as one of the better bets here.
Wincast: Kai Havertz 1st to score/Chelsea Full Time result (4/1 odds)
With German international Kai Havertz set to potentially be given a start in the number 9 role tomorrow, the former Bayer Leverkusen starlet is a decent bet to bag the first goal against a wounded Watford in an expected Chelsea win. Without a clear recognized goal scorer on paper this season, his chance is as good as any with good odds of return.

Watford vs Chelsea: Match preview
It could be going worse for Watford after their return to the Premier League this season as the Hornets sit just outside the bottom three with a 3-point cushion and a match in hand over Norwich City.
Two recent results could have set the tone of the season when the Hornets bagged wins against Manchester United and Everton, but it also highlighted their inconsistency in the final third as both wins constituted 50% of the club’s league goals, while they have been blanked three times in the last six fixtures.

With both Emmanuel Dennis and Ismaïla Sarr out of action tomorrow, those struggles could be set to continue against one of the best defensive units in Europe in Chelsea.
As for the Blues, all the data is firmly in Chelsea’s corner tomorrow, highlighted by the Stamford Bridge outfit winning five of the last six clashes between the two outfits.

Thomas Tuchel’s men are heavy favorites here on merit, with their only loss coming in a 1-0 loss against current holders Manchester City, but the club kicked on in the wake of it to net wins in five of their seven fixtures in the aftermath of the home defeat against Peo Guardiola.
Despite the minor setback earlier in the year, Chelsea keeps rolling in the league after Tuchel had firmly planted himself in the club after their Champions League success last season, with the German tactician recently being voted as the top manager in the world according to ESPN’s FC100 list. Such has been his influence that regardless of his own injury concerns coming into tomorrow – especially in midfield – that most expect him to find a way to extract three points.
Watford team news vs Chelsea
Watford boss Claudio Ranieri has a Hornets squad that has been ravaged by injury, making his task that much harder to best table-topping Chelsea at Vicarage Road.
Nicolas Nkoulou, Peter Etebo, Francisco Sierralta, Ismaïla Sarr, Ken Sema, Kwadwo Baah, and Ben Foster are all sure to miss out on proceedings tomorrow, while Adam Masina is a doubt but should be fit in time to start, and Emmanuel Dennis & Juraj Kucka are both serious doubts.
Chelsea team news vs Watford
Thomas Tuchel will have a comparably easier time fielding a competitive team for the midweek clash, but will still have to contend with missing most – if not all – his first-choice central midfielders.
N’Golo Kanté and Mateo Kovačić are both unavailable as is, of course, Ben Chilwell, while doubts surround Reece James, Jorginho, and Timo Werner.
