Premier League betting tips round-up: January 18/19

Chelsea will be looking to return to winning ways against Brighton on Tuesday with the Blues now looking over their shoulder following defeat to Man City.

Elsewhere, Spurs travel to Leicester and Manchester United host Brentford, with both teams targeting a place in the top four.

Here, 101 Great Goals previews this week’s Premier League fixtures and offers the best tips and bets around:

Burnley vs Watford

o – Burnley 6/5

o – Draw 23/10

o – Watford 12/5

Burnley are now rock bottom of the table following Newcastle United’s draw against Watford and despite having three games in hand, they have just lost their top scorer Chris Wood to the Tyneside club.

Watford are also in big trouble as they sit just outside the top four and are winless in seven matches.

Betting Tip 1: Both teams to score (4/5 odds).

Watford are the only club in England’s top four leagues not to keep a clean sheet this season.

Meanwhile, the hosts have conceded six goals in their last two outings.

Betting Tip 2: Emmanuel Dennis to score first (17/2 odds) or anytime (3/1 odds).

Only three players have scored more than Dennis’ eight Premier League goals this season.

The striker has been a revelation signing for the Hornets and will be crucial for them in Tuesday’s relegation battle.

Brighton vs Chelsea

o – Brighton & Hove Albion 15/4

o – Draw 11/4

o – Chelsea 8/11

Chelsea have now won just once in their last six matches following their defeat to Man City and trail the league leaders by 13 points.

Brighton clinched a late equaliser against rivals Brighton and are up into 9th in the table.

Betting Tip 1: Both teams to score and under 2.5 goals (7/1 odds)

Both teams have been strong defensively this season and a low scoring affair can be expected.

Brighton have conceded an average of a goal per game, whilst the Blues’ average is just 0.64 goals conceded per game.

Meanwhile, Chelsea have conceded at least once in 45 percent of their matches and the Seagulls have conceded at least once in 60 percent of their games.

Betting Tip 2: Mason Mount to score anytime (6/4 odds)

Mount is likely to return to the line-up on Tuesday having been rested against Man City.

The midfielder has already netted seven time in the league this season.

he has been one of the Blues’ most threatening players this season and him being back in the lineup will be a big boost for Tuchel’s side.

Leicester vs Tottenham

o – Leicester City 2/1

o – Draw 5/2

o – Tottenham Hotspur 13/10

Tottenham Hotspur will be hoping to gather momentum in the race for the top four.

A win on Thursday would them to within a point of fourth-place West Ham with three games in hand.

Leicester have played just once in 2022 but their squad has been decimated by injuries and AFCON.

However, their last league outing saw them defeat Liverpool 1-0 at the King Power.

Betting Tip 1: Over 2.5 goals and a draw (9/1).

11 of the last 17 meetings between these two clubs has ended in over 2.5 goals being scored.

Both teams, particularly Leicester, have key defenders missing, meaning more goals are expected.

The Foxes managed to clinch a win against Liverpool in their last game at the King Power and will be confident of also stifling Spurs.

Betting Tip 2: Harry Kane to score first (10/3).

Harry Kane has an extraordinary record of scoring against Leicester City.

The striker has netted 15 goals in 12 appearances against the Foxes.

His last two games against Leicester has seen him score four goals.

Brentford vs Manchester United

o – Brentford 7/2

o – Draw 27/10

o – Manchester United 4/5

Manchester United will need to produce a big response on Thursday following a defeat to Wolves and letting a two-goal lead slip against Aston Villa.

They will fancy their chances against a Brentford side who have lost their last two matches.

Betting Tip 1: Bruno Fernandes to score anytime (12/5)

Bruno Fernandes bagged a brace in the 2-2 draw against Aston Villa and though he has not been in rich scoring form of late, he is still second in the team for goals behind Cristiano Ronaldo and his ability to make late runs into the area could be a danger factor for Brentford to negotiate.

Betting Tip 2: Brentford 1-1 Manchester United (13/2)

Guessing the correct score is a bit of a gamble for a few key factors makes this a pretty fair shout considering the good odds attached. Both sides played to a draw in their first meeting this season, while the pair hardly seem to be in any semblance of consistent form. United’s recent record reads well, but their performances paint a different picture. A draw is a real possibility.
