Manchester City secured a 20th consecutive win over West Ham United on Saturday to move 13 points clear at the top of the Premier League.

Pep Guardiola’s side can now equal their own record for most games unbeaten if they fail to lose on Tuesday and extend their run to 28 games.

Wolves now face the daunting task of trying to take down this record-breaking side.

Despite being on their own unbeaten run of four, City are likely to have too much for the Midlands club and further consolidate their spot at the top.

Manchester City vs Wolves: Match preview

Manchester City overcame the stern test of West Ham with their winning streak firmly intact.

Defensive duo John Stones and Ruben Dias were on hand to clinch the win against a stubborn Hammers side.

The pair have now scored more goals combined than the number of goals which they have conceded as a partnership.

City have conceded just 16 goals all season with their defence playing a major part in their bid to run away with the title.

They now head into Tuesday’s clash 13 points clear at the top and looking to go 28 matches unbeaten.

Wolves’ mini-revival

Wolves have enjoyed a strong upturn in form over recent weeks which has seen them climb into 12th.

Nuno Espírito Santo’s side have now gone four games unbeaten and have taken 11 points from their last five matches.

They were held to a frustrating 1-1 draw with Newcastle over the weekend with Ruben Neves having to salvage a point for his side.

Wolves will now be targeting the top 10 with just three points separating them from Arsenal.

However, they have a tricky run coming up, with games against City, Aston Villa, Liverpool and then West Ham.

Manchester City team news vs Wolves

Guardiola has nearly a full squad to select from on Tuesday.

Nathan Ake is City’s only absentee for the game as he continues to recover from injury.

The Dutch defender is closing in on a return and is expected back in training soon.

Guardiola will have the luxury of being able to rotate his team against Wolves.

The likes of Raheem Sterling, Joao Cancelo, Rodri and Phil Foden were all left on the bench against West Ham.

Sergio Aguero made just his third start of the season against the Hammers and could be replaced by Gabriel Jesus on Tuesday.

Wolves team news vs Manchester City

Daniel Podence remains two weeks away from returning for Wolves as he continues to recover from a groin injury.

Willy Boly, Fernando Marcal and Raul Jimenez all also remain on the sideline.

Nuno’s side have enjoyed a change in fortunes since switching to three-at-the-back.

Wolves made the switch in their goalless draw with Leicester City and are now four unbeaten since making the switch.

One change the visitors could make on Sunday is Fabio Silva coming in for Willian Jose who is yet to find the back of the net since arriving at Molineux.
