Betting prediction: Liverpool 2-1 Chelsea
Liverpool returned to winning ways to end a run of five consecutive defeats in the league.
The Reds are now down in sixth but find themselves just two points off the top four.
Chelsea head to Anfield in fifth and with one point separating them from Jurgen Klopp’s side.
The Blues are coming off the back of a goalless draw with Manchester United which also followed a draw with Southampton.
Klopp will hope that their 2-0 win over Sheffield United will be the moment to reinvigorate their season and give them the confidence to now go on and beat Thomas Tuchel’s Chelsea.

Mohamed Salah to score first. The Egyptian forward remains the Premier League’s leading goal scorer with 17 for the season.
However, having failed to find the back of the net in his last two league appearances, he will be eager to score against his former side on Thursday.

Liverpool vs Chelsea: Match preview
Liverpool ended a run of five defeats with a 2-0 win over Sheffield United.
Second-half goals from Curtis Jones and an own goal scored by Kean Bryan secured the Reds the three points.
With both Chelsea and West Ham United dropping points over the weekend, Klopp’s side closed the gap on the two London clubs.
The Merseyside club are now just three points off the Hammers in fourth and a point behind fifth-placed Chelsea.
However, also over their shoulder Everton, Tottenham and Aston Villa are all queuing up to move ahead of them.
The Toffees are level on points with them with a game in hand, whilst Spurs and Villa are four points behind with games in hand.

Consecutive Chelsea draws
Chelsea have now had back-to-back draws following their goalless game with Manchester United on Sunday.
The Blues missed the chance to move into the top four with West Ham having lost to Manchester City.
Tuchel’s side did however close the gap on the Hammers to just a point and they have a superior goal difference over their London rivals.
But, the west London club cannot afford to drop any more points with West Ham hosting Leeds on Monday.
They are also at risk of falling below Everton who are just a point behind them with a game in hand.

Liverpool team news vs Chelsea
Jordan Henderson became the latest name to join the Reds’ growing injury list.
The midfielder suffered a groin injury in their defeat to Everton and will miss several weeks.
Fabinho could make his return from injury having returned to training, although it is unlikely he will be rushed back into the line-up.
Alisson Becker missed the win over Sheffield United due to personal reasons and is expected to be available to feature against Chelsea.
Caoimhin Kelleher, Diogo Jota, Virgil van Dijk, Joe Gomez and Joel Matip all remain sidelined for the match.

Chelsea team news vs Liverpool
Thiago Silva is closing in on a return from injury having returned to training.
Although, Thursday’s trip to Anfield is expected to arrive too soon for the defender.
Silva has been missing since early February when he suffered a thigh injury against Spurs.
Andreas Christensen has filled in for the Brazilian partnering both César Azpilicueta and Antonio Rüdiger.
Callum Hudson-Odoi is a slight doubt to feature due to a knee injury.
Hudson-Odoi has been deployed as a right wing-back under Tuchel but has failed to make a real impression.
