Betting prediction: Leeds United 1-2 Aston Villa
Aston Villa and Leeds United head into Saturday’s clash almost neck and neck with just a point separating the two sides.
Villa’s form has slipped over recent week with Dean Smith’s side winning just twice in their last seven matches.
Meanwhile, Leeds have enjoyed a more fortuitous run winning four of their last seven.
Although, Villa remain the stronger of the two sides and should have enough quality to defeat Leeds at Elland Road.
Leeds United vs Aston Villa: Recommended bets
Ollie Watkins to score first. The striker has gone two games without a goal and he will be itching to get back on the scoresheet.
Watkins has shown he possesses a great deal of quality this term having netted 10 league goals, making him the division’s 9th leading goal scorer.
Villa will be hopeful he can return to scoring goals on the weekend as they look to get back on track in their bid for European qualification.

Leeds United vs Aston Villa: Match preview
Leeds United produced an emphatic win on Tuesday to defeat Southampton 3-0.
Despite several key players missing, Marcelo Bielsa’s side managed to secure another impressive three points.
Patrick Bamford, Stuart Dallas and Raphina all got their names on the scoresheet in a dominant win.
The South Yorkshire club were able to bounce back from consecutive defeats to move into the top half.
Incredibly, Leeds have a goal difference of 0 having netted 43 goals whilst also conceding on 43 occasions, owing to their high-risk style of play.
A few weeks ago they looked like a side destined to finish in the bottom half, but following a string of good results, they are now just ten points off the top four.
Aston Villa’s downturn in form
Since returning from their three-week break following the Covid outbreak in their camp, Villa have struggled to recapture their impressive form.
Smith’s side have won just three of their last eight matches, whilst also losing four during that run.
Although, they remain in a good position in 8th and have played two games fewer than most of the sides above them.
They are just nine points off the top four and could considerably close that gap if they can rediscover that form and win both their matches in hand.
Leeds United team news vs Aston Villa
Mateusz Klich is the latest name to be added to Leeds’ list of injuries.
The Pole was forced off with a groin injury in their win over Southampton on Tuesday.
He is set to undergo a late fitness test ahead of the game but is unlikely to feature.
Marcelo Bielsa will once again be forced to reshuffle his side as he loses another midfielder to injury.
Against the Saints, Leeds lined-up in a 3-3-3-1 formation, with Stuart Dallas and Luke Ayling joining Klich in the midfield.
Kalvin Phillips, Jamie Shackleton, Adam Forshaw, Rodrigo, Ian Poveda-Ocampo, Gaetano Berardi and Robin Koch are all out of Saturday’s match.
Aston Villa team news vs Leeds United
Jack Grealish was ruled out of Villa’s defeat to Leicester on the weekend with a calf injury.
However, the midfielder could be back on Saturday as he closes in on a swift return.
Anwar El Ghazi came in to replace the 25-year-old against the Foxes.
Matty Cash was another big miss for Villa on the weekend after suffering a thigh injury against Brighton.
The right-back is three weeks away from making a return and will miss Saturday’s clash.
Kortney Hause and Wesley Moraes both also miss out on the game through injury.
