Betting prediction: Fulham 1-3 Manchester City
Manchester City returned to winning ways on Wednesday as they produced yet another empathic performance to defeat Southampton 5-2.
City extended their lead at the top of the Premier League to 14 points as they showed no signs of faltering with an immediate response to their Manchester derby defeat.
Fulham managed to claim their biggest win of the season last Sunday as they won 1-0 away at Anfield.
The Cottagers have now lost just once in their last seven and look more than capable of avoiding relegation this season.
However, Pep Guardiola’s side continue to look by far the most impressive in the league and despite Fulham’s recent upturn in form, City have far too much quality for the west London club.
Fulham vs Manchester City: Recommended bets
Riyad Mahrez to score first. The forward netted a brace in City’s win over Southampton on Wednesday.
Mahrez is expected to start again on Saturday following his impressive performance against the Saints.
The Algerian has now been involved in six goals in his last six league appearances and his entering a strong run of form.

Fulham vs Manchester City: Match preview
Fulham claimed a massive three points last Sunday as they won at Anfield for the first time since 2012.
The win moves them level on points with both Brighton and just a point behind Newcastle who sit in 16th and 17th.
In the game prior, they were also unfortunate not to claim a point against an in-form Tottenham side.
The Cottagers have produced an impressive turnaround in form over recent weeks and are now within touching distance of exiting the bottom three.
Scott Parker’s side have been in the relegation spots ever since their opening day defeat to Arsenal.
The west London club have now suffered just four defeats in their last seventeen matches.
City bounce back from derby defeat
Manchester City resumed normal service on Wednesday as they eventually defeated a resilient Southampton side.
Riyad Mahrez and Kevin De Bruyne both netted twice at the Etihad with Ilkay Gundogan once again finding the back of the net in a 5-2 win.
Guardiola’s side now lead the Premier League by 14 points as they bounced back from their first defeat in 28 matches in the Manchester Derby.
After Sunday’s trip to Craven Cottage, they host Borussia Monchengladbach in the second-leg of the Champions League round of 16 tie.
They currently lead the tie 2-0 following their win in Germany three weeks ago.
Fulham team news vs Manchester City
Fulham will remain without just Tom Cairney and Marek Rodak as they look to continue their improved form.
Scott Parker has enjoyed his side putting together two impressive performances since switching to 4-4-2.
The Cottagers were very unfortunate not to claim a point against Spurs, whilst the system saw them win 1-0 away at Liverpool.
Parker has select the same personnel for the last two matches and is likely to name an unchanged line-up on Saturday.
Manchester City team news vs Fulham
Pep Guardiola once again has a fully fit squad to select from on Saturday.
The Spaniard could make several changes from the side that defeated Southampton during midweek.
John Stones, Joao Cancelo, Rodri, Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling could all return to the line-up at Craven Cottage.
Guardiola may well select his team on Saturday with Borussia Monchengladbach in mind, but he will also be wary of Fulham’s recent upturn in form and go strong in west London.
