Betting prediction: Everton 1 – 1 Burnley
The Toffees welcome Burnley to the Goodison Park in Liverpool on Saturday for this Premier League match.
Everton have won 3 of the last 5 matches between the two clubs. However, it seems home advantage is crucial in this fixture with Everton picking up only 2 wins in Burnley since the 1960s; 2 wins in 11 matches.
Burnley likewise have a tough time here at Goodison Park, with just 1 win and 7 defeats here since 1963.

Everton vs Burnley: Recommended bets
Everton’s won 1-0 here last season when the sides last met at Goodison Park. A repeat of this score on Saturday is available at odds of 13/2.
Burnley’s last win at Goodison Park was a 0-1 victory back in October 2010. You can back them at 12/1 for the same scoreline here on Saturday.
Everton vs Burnley at Goodison Park has historically been a low scoring game. Everton’s 3-1 win here in 2017 is the only time since 1965 were there has been over 2.5 goals in a game. You can back another low scoring game here on Saturday with odds of 4/5 on for under 2.5 goals.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin grabbed Everton’s equaliser in the 1-1 draw at Turf Moor back in December. The England international is the 4/1 favourite to score the game’s opener on Saturday. Or 13/10 to bag a goal at any time during the game against Burnley.

Everton vs Burnley: What are the betting odds?
The Blues have one of the worst home records in the Premier League, with only the bottom 5 sides picking up fewer points at home this season. However, they have a stellar record again Burnley here, winning 5 of 6 Premier League matches between them at Goodison Park. This sees them start the match as the 5/6 on favourites.
Only West Brom and Sheffield United have picked up fewer points on the road this season than Burnley. Although, their away form has been on the up recently, with 2 wins from the last 4 away matches. Despite this, they start this match as the 7/2 underdogs.
The sides shared the points when they met earlier in the season. Odds of 5/2 are available if you see Everton and Burnley cancelling each other out on Saturday once more.

Everton vs Burnley: Match preview
It feels like Sean Dyche’s Burnley are trying to slowly crawl over the finishing line of this Premier League season.
They have won just 1 of their last 9 matches and it seems like they are taking the 1 point per game needed to hit the 40-point mark rather literally, with 5 of the last 7 matches ending in a draw.
With Fulham eating up the ground between them, having picked up 12 points in their last 7 games, the fear is that may no longer be enough.
Burnley have the 2nd worst attack in the league this season, ahead of only Sheffield United. It is possibly only the performances of Nick Pope, who is once again helping Burnley outperform xG in defence, that is preventing their relegation being a forgone conclusion.
It may be the case that Sean Dyche has hit a glass-ceiling with this squad which he is unable to break through without more quality at his disposal. With the likes of Aston Villa and Leeds coming up and investing heavily in such quality, that glass ceiling is getting lower and lower.
We have been here before in the past. Perhaps most famously with Charlton Athletic who were a stable Premier League team until Alan Curbishley was replaced in 2006. They hoped a different manager could break through that glass ceiling. Instead, they tumbled out of the Premier League as they stopped outperforming the quality of players at their disposal.
Everton will be the latest side to try and prevent Burnley from squeezing a point out of them.
After a run of poor league results in which they picked up just 5 points from a possible 18, they won 3 in a row starting with a huge win at Anfield in the Merseyside Derby. They need to make sure the defeat at Chelsea doesn’t knock the wind out of their sails if they are to make dreams of a first appearance in the Champions League a reality.

Everton team news vs Burnley
Jean-Philippe Gbamin is Everton’s only long-term injury at present. The 25-year-old midfielder is yet to be involved for Everton this season due to a calf injury.
Fabian Delph suffered a hamstring injury at the start of December. He was an unused sub in recent matches but has missed the last 3 squads with a tendon injury. Carlo will need to ease him back in once available for selection again.
Yerry Mina was an early substitute against Manchester City back in February. He was ruled out with a calf injury and has missed the subsequent 4 games for Everton. Mina should be before the international break.
Abdoulaye Doucoure missed the 2-0 defeat in London last weekend with an ankle problem. He will be out until after the international break, but the club can’t be more specific beyond that at present.
“We will be more precise in the next few days but he’s out and until the international break. I think it’s an injury which is quite important but I don’t know for how long.”
– Carlo Ancelotti, Everton Manager
James Rodríguez has missed the last 3 matches with a lower leg injury. Carlo stated before the Chelsea match that he expected him back in time to face Burnley.
Seamus Coleman is in a similar position. Having missed the last 3 games with a knock, the right-back is now available for selection again.

Burnley team news vs Everton
Ashley Barnes’ stop-start season continues. The thigh injury that has caused him to miss the last few games is his 3rd separate injury so far this season.
Jack Cork is also a doubt having missed the 1-1 draw with Arsenal due to a tight hamstring. He could be an option from the bench should he prove his fitness before the side is announced.
Charlie Taylor is also a slight doubt after being unable to complete the match against Arsenal with a tight hamstring. Erik Pieters looks set to deputise for Taylor should he fail a late fitness test.
Jay Rodríguez and Robbie Brady are the two who will be hoping to benefit from any rotation by Sean Dyche. Matej Vydra, Jóhann Gudmundsson and Chris Wood would be the most likely players to make way for either of them.
