There’s no doubt that Everton are the favourites heading into Saturday’s match.

Everton begin the weekend one point outside of the top four and will be full of confidence following Wednesday’s away win at Leicester.

Everton vs Arsenal: Recommended bets
Under 2.5 goals. Everton’s last four matches have produced fewer than three goals. Seven of Arsenal’s last nine league games have featured fewer than 3 goals.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin to score. Calvert-Lewin has scored 14 goals in 14 appearances in all competitions. Calvert Lewin has now gone two matches without scoring – his longest run without a goal all season. The England striker has scored two goals against the Gunners, including one last season.

Everton vs Arsenal: Match preview
Everton host struggling Arsenal on Saturday.
Mikel Arteta will be hoping for some good fortune on his return to Goodison Park. Arteta made 162 appearances for Everton before joining Arsenal in 2011.
Ill discipline cost Arsenal once again on Wednesday night as they were held to a 1-1 draw by Southampton at the Emirates. For the third time in five Premier League games, Arsenal had a man sent off – on each occasion, the sending off has occurred when the scores were level.
Former Gunner – and Toffee – Theo Walcott opened the scoring for Southampton before Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang equalised. It was only Aubameyang’s second open play goal all season.
Arsenal remain 15th in the table on just 14 points following Wednesday’s result as their winless run stretches to six matches.
By stark contrast, Everton have only lost one of their previous five and come into the game on the back of consecutive clean sheet wins against Chelsea and Leicester. Richarlison and Mason Holgate scored a goal in each half to give Everton a massive 2-0 win at Leicester on Wednesday. The result leaves Carlo Ancelotti’s side 5th in the table on 23 points.
Everton have won half of their six matches at Goodison this season, drawing one and losing the other two.
Arsenal’s away form ranks 15th in the Premier League, with two wins, one draw, and three defeats from their six matches on the road. The Gunners have only mustered five goals away from home, although they’ve made up for that with a solid defensive record – only two teams have conceded fewer goals away from home than Arsenal’s 6.
Everton and Arsenal have met 56 times in the Premier League. The Toffees have only won eight of those matches, drawing 14 and losing 34.
The two sides’ most recent meeting finished 3-2 to Arsenal at the Emirates in February. Eddie Nketiah and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang (2) scored for Arsenal while Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Richarlison were on target for the visitors.
The corresponding fixture at Goodison Park was far less eventful and ended in a 0-0 stalemate.
Everton team news vs Arsenal
Robin Olsen was preferred to Jordan Pickford against Leicester, but the latter is expected to start in goal on Saturday.
Jonjoe Kenny comes back into contention after returning to Everton’s bench on Wednesday. Mason Holgate has been deputising at right-back recently. Seamus Coleman was not risked in midweek “so he can be ready for Saturday”.
Carlo Ancelotti confirmed that there was “no problem” for Richarlison after the Brazilian picked up a wrist injury at the King Power Stadium.
James Rodriguez is likely to miss out against Arsenal. ” James starting his individual rehab. Day by day, we will continue to check him. I don’t know if he will be ready for the weekend”, Ancelotti said.
Allan picked up a hamstring injury and will also miss Saturday’s game, meaning Andre Gomes should partner Abdoulaye Doucoure in the base of midfield.
Alex Iwobi has been in solid form for the Toffees and should start against his former club.
Lucas Digne, Fabian Delph, and Jean-Philippe Gbamin remain sidelined.
Arsenal team news vs Everton
Gabriel Magalhaes became the latest Arsenal player – the 7th since Mikel Arteta’s arrival – to receive a red card in the Premier League. His sending off will earn him a one-match suspension.
David Luiz is expected to replace Gabriel at centre-back, partnering Rob Holding. Fit-again Pablo Mari is another option in that position.
Arteta played with a back three against Southampton and could revert to a flat back four on Saturday. Hector Bellerin is available for selection after serving his one-match ban, although he faces competition from Ainsley Maitland-Niles for a spot on the right.
Granit Xhaka will serve the second of his three-match ban on Saturday. Dani Ceballos is set to continue alongside one of Joe Willock or Mohamed Elneny. Thomas Partey remains sidelined with a hamstring injury.
Alexandre Lacazette could replace Eddie Nketiah in the Arsenal line-up, while Nicolas Pepe could be replaced by Willian.
Reiss Nelson is potentially another option out wide if he recovers from a head injury. Emile Smith Rowe and Folarin Balogun must be wondering what they need to do to get into Arsenal’s Premier League matchday squad.
Gabriel Martinelli could feature on Arsenal’s bench for the first time this season after recovering from a lengthy injury.
