Zlatan’s time in the MLS
Zlatan Ibrahimovic left Manchester United in March of 2018 and joined LA Galaxy on a free transfer.
Ibrahimovic has since gone on to make 52 appearances across all competitions for LA Galaxy.
In those 52 games, Ibra has scored 48 and assisted 11.
The current MLS season has seen Ibrahimovic score 26 and assist four in 25 appearances.

Opta would also reveal on Monday that Zlatan has currently scored 53.1% of LA Galaxy’s goals this season.
Since Opta began tracking such data in 2007, no player has finished the season scoring more than 52.9% of their teams goals.

While Ibrahimovic is certainly a quality player, he did make a rather bold claim in a recent interview.
Ibra would claim that he thinks he is the best to have ever played in the MLS:
“I think I’m the best that has ever played in MLS. And that’s without joking.”
When asked why he thought this, Zlatan replied:
“Have you been watching the two years I’ve been playing [here]?”
Ibrahimovic then continued:
“I said from the first day when I came, I’m not here for vacation.
“I’m here to perform and show everybody what the game is about.
“I think in the two years I’ve had here, I’ve done good things, amazing things, perfect things.” As quoted by Goal.
While a case could certainly be made Ibra is up their with the best, it is still a huge claim to make.
