Zlatan injured v Anderlecht

Zlatan Ibrahimovic isn’t human: ‘Miracle comeback’ for Man United

Zlatan Ibrahimovic & Man United

Romelu Lukaku may soon have a battle on his hands at Man United.

According to an amazing update in the Sun on Sunday, Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be back playing for Jose Mourinho incredibly soon.

Zlatan starred for the Red Devils last season. The Swede scored over 20 goals for United as Jose Mourinho won the League Cup and Europa League in his first season at Old Trafford.

A few weeks ago, Zlatan confirmed that he’s agreed a new deal to stay at Man United this season too.

The Swedish superstar has agreed a new one year deal, although he’s still not ready to return to action quite yet.

Ibra’s 2016-17 campaign was cut short after he suffered ligament damage against Anderlecht.

He’s been sidelined ever since, although Zlatan seems to be defying the odds with regards to his comeback timetable.

When the injury first happened, many thought Zlatan would be out of action until after the 2018 New Year.

But that timetable has been significantly revised.

‘Miracle comeback’

According to the Sun, it’s highly possible that Zlatan Ibrahimovic could be back on the pitch in October. Readers are told:

Jose Mourinho is set to be boosted by the return of Zlatan Ibrahimovic from a knee injury, with the Swede only two to three weeks away from a miracle comeback.

In three weeks time, Man United face a massive Premier League match as Tottenham are scheduled to visit Old Trafford.

United then take on Benfica in the Champions League on Halloween. While Jose Mourinho returns to Chelsea on November 5.

Injuries to Pogba & Fellaini

The positive Ibrahimovic injury news is offset on Sunday by updates to Paul Pogba and Maraoune Fellaini’s health.

Pogba could still be at least two months away from returning to action as he suffers from a hamstring problem.

As for Fellaini, there are fears the Belgian is now sidelined for months after he picked up a knee injury playing against Bosnia.
