Zlatan’s final home game for PSG
It was an emotional night for Zlatan Ibrahimovic on Saturday as he played his final game for PSG at the Parc des Princes.
Zlatan certainly enjoyed himself, scoring two goals in a 4-0 win and the super Swedish striker was also afforded a classy stoppage on 10 minutes, so the crowd could show him their support.
Having scored two goals to become PSG’s record goal scorer in a season with 38, Zlatan left the pitch late on with his two sons wearing “King” and Legend” on their backs.
It should be noted that no one came on for Zlatan with the game already won and the former AC Milan, Inter Milan and Barcelona striker was not short of zingers in the after-match title-winning party.
Zlatan told BeIN Sports: “I hope that this club will continue to win trophies. Without Zlatan it is difficult, but possible.”
And, Ibrahimovic’s post-game speech was so emotional that Italian midfielder Marco Verratti was visibly emotional.
Zlatan jokes about his PSG return
Zlatan also spoke to the French media in the Mixed Zone after the game, chatting about his future once his playing career is over.
PSG have seemingly offered Ibrahimovic a blank canvas when it comes to retirement and he will be able to return in a management role at the Ligue 1 giants.
