The Best Awards

FIFA have announced the shortlist of the Men’s Coach of the Year for their The Best FIFA Football Awards.

The Best FIFA Football Awards are a new award ceremony from football’s governing body since they spit with the Ballon d’Or.

Also nominated were Leicester’s Premier League-winning manager Claudio Ranieri and Euro 2016 winning coach Fernando Santos.

Mission impossible

Of the three, Ranieri’s achievement is undoubtedly the most remarkable, perhaps making him the favourite to bag the inaugural award.

Ranieri’s Leicester achieved the near-impossible by winning the Premier League, despite being 5000/1 outsiders.

Santos guided Portugal to their first every European Championship title while Zinedine Zidane oversaw Real Madrid’s 11th UEFA Champions League title success.
