Zidane confirms Eden Hazard is available to feature for Real Madrid vs Elche

Elche vs Real Madrid

Real Madrid’s final outing of 2020 will see them face off with Elche on Wednesday evening.

Los Blancos endured a slow start to the campaign, both domestically and in Europe.

However, Madrid have since turned their fortunes around, winning five league games on the bounce – including a key victory over title and city rivals Atletico.

Such form has seen Real climb up to 2nd in the La Liga table, level on points with Atleti.

Diego Simeone’s side, though, still hold two games in hand on Real, making a win over Elche of the utmost importance.

Such a result shouldn’t prove too hard to come by for the Spanish champions, with Elche currently sitting 16th in La Liga, with just three wins to their name all season.

Zidane provides Eden Hazard update

Ahead of his side’s meeting with Elche, meanwhile, Zinedine Zidane spoke to the media on Tuesday.

Whilst previewing the matchup, the Frenchman provided an update on Eden Hazard.

Hazard’s 2020/21 campaign has been riddled with injuries, limiting him to just six appearances across all competitions.

However, the Belgian returned to the bench for Real’s recent win over Granada, and Zidane has confirmed that Hazard could go on to play some role on Wednesday:

“Eden will be available tomorrow and we’d like him to just play a little bit. The other day we decided against it but we want him to play tomorrow because he’s been back with the team for a while and we want to take advantage of Eden’s football”.

Real Madrid’s full squad for the clash can be seen below:
