Everyone is still talking about the brilliant goal Cristiano Ronaldo scored against Juventus in the second half of their quarter-final game with Real Madrid – and his manager Zinedine Zidane has spoken about how good he thinks the goal was.
Zidane joked when asked about which goal was better, and made it clear that he felt Ronaldo is such a special player – and that the Champions League draws him to a different level, with him always wanting to be better in each passing game – something he seems to be achieving.
“Oh mine! Definitely mine.
“Cristiano Ronaldo is different. He’s a different player to everyone else and he always has this desire to do something extraordinary in the Champions League, he never rests on his laurels.
“His overhead kick was remarkable, yet he missed two much easier chances. That’s football.”

Real Madrid now have one foot in the semi-finals, and are dominating the competition that seems to have become their own, and one that they look better and better in each passing season.
Of course, Cristiano Ronaldo is a huge part of that, and with his joy comes a sadness for Juventus keeper Gigi Buffon, who looks like once again missing out on the trophy he has failed to win during his career, and with claims he will retire in the summer, this could have been his last chance, yet there was a huge amount of respect between Buffon and Ronaldo at the end of the game, with Buffon hailing Ronaldo as one of the best and noting he and Messi can be compared to Maradona and Pele such is their greatness in the modern game.
