Kokorin has no shame
Zenit striker Aleksandr Kokorin has been fined by his club and demoted to Zenit 2 after some outrageous behaviour was filmed in Monte Carlo following Russia’s Euro 2016 elimination.
The 25-year-old forward reportedly racked up a bill of €250,000 on just champagne along with fellow Russian squad player Pavel Mamaev
The video below shows extraordinary amounts of champagne being wheeled out to the disgraced footballers in a Monte Carlo nightclub to the tune of the Russian national anthem.
Russian fans and media have met the news with outrage and the two players clubs weren’t particularly happy either.
Zenit release a statement bemoaning lack of common sense
“Zenit Football Club wish to state our extreme disappointment over the incident involving our player Alexander Kokorin.
“Unfortunately, some Russian players can find themselves in these scandalous situations due to a lack of common sense and culture norms in their behavior in public places. We have conducted our own investigation into this episode and as it has given the entirity of Russian football damage to its reputation. Therefore the club have decided to move Alexander Kokorin to Zenit-2 and impose on him a substantial monetary fine.”
Krasnodar have also immediately retributed similar punishment upon Pavel Mamaev. Watch the shocking video below.
