Youngster Alfie Devine makes history as Spurs hammer Marine to book FA Cup 4th-round spot
Tottenham’s meeting with Marine this evening saw starlet Alfie Devine etch his name into the club’s history books not once, but twice.
Spurs cruise
Jose Mourinho’s men made the trip to 8th-tier Marine a short time ago, for their season opener in the FA Cup.
The Lilywhites, for obvious reasons, headed into proceedings as landslide favourites to advance, with minnows Marine having done remarkably well to even make it to this point in the competition.
As such, when all was said and done, it came as little surprise to see Tottenham on the right side of a 5-0 scoreline.
Carlos Vinicius proved the star of the show, bagging a hat-trick inside the space of 15 minutes midway through the first-half:

Vinicius’ Brazilian teammate Lucas Moura, meanwhile, was next on target, bending a stunning free-kick inside the near post, despite the best efforts of the home crowd:

Divine Devine
The undoubted highlight moment of this evening’s action on Merseyside, though, came on the hour-mark.
After being introduced off the bench by Jose Mourinho at half-time, starlet Alfie Devine etched his name into Spurs’ history books, as the youngest-ever player to line out for the club in a competitive fixture.
Then, just when it looked as though the clash couldn’t mark any more a special one for the teenage midfielder, remarkably, Devine went on to add his name to the scoresheet.
After picking the ball up inside the Marine box, the English youth international swiftly cut inside, before picking out the near bottom corner with a sweet right-footed strike:

In the process, Devine of course also became the youngest player to ever find the net at senior level for Tottenham, rounding out a superb day for club and player alike.
